So Just bought a Mavic Pro 2 with polarized lens kit and finally took it out for a flight. There's quite some high trees around so took up for a 122ft climb straight up with good visible sight. The app started saying drone disconnected or drone not available. Pushed the back to home and the drone swiftly landed back. Pretty scary thing, while I see other peoples footage cover a very nice flight. Tried to move the gimbal with the screen of the phone and didn't work either. I heard about possible unlocking the NFZ between other basic parameters. Appreciate the feedback....

Since the M2P responded to the RC the problem was most likely with your phone or Go 4 or the connecting cable, or any combination of those. Trees will also absorb or scatter the signal but 122ft straight up should have no connection difficulties. Being that close should not matter but make sure the flat side of the antennas are pointed toward the Mavic (not the pointy ends) for best connection.

Note that normally you'll have the antennas vertical which is correct when the AC is away from you horizontally, but if it is nearly directly above you, particularly at high altitude, you'll get a better signal with the antennas horizontal. Shouldn't lose signal at 120ft altitude with antennas in either direction though.

Noticed that the battery in the drone drained very quickly. Towards the disconnection problem was that dunno why its a hasle to keep the plug that goes from the control to the iphone to stay tightly fit. Its one or the other and then app goes saying disconnected. Thanks for the input. Im using osX mac what tools are there to root or access the parameters to modify the annoying beeping sound.

Took the drone out one last time to try a spin. Phone screen would say low signal. The drone didn't get to 300ft of distance of Homebase.

Make sure the port on your iPhone is clean. It tends to get lint and other stuff jammed into it.
