on my way to school on sunday and there was a massive quadcopter sitting on the helipad. turns out they were testing flying taxis. kinda cool so i thought id mention it

I've seen some video of them. Just imagine the red tape NYC can create for that.

i saw two. one was the one in the pic and the other was a massive quad with 4 arms like a typical phantom but had two sets of props for each one adding up to 8 all together. when i have time ill find a pic.
