This thing is cool. My father seems to be real psyched about it. Im still waiting for the goggle 3 and motion 3 to come in the mail. So far we watched a lot of videos to learn, but havent been able to take it outside because of the weather.

One thing we did in the house was put it in auto takeoff mode and set the height to 1.2 meters. It ascended and hovered like we expected, but then decided to start making a left into the curtains and fall to floor. I was expecting the object sensors to kick in but that did not happen. Later I noticed that when in auto takeoff mode that the sensors are disabled.

1) Is there any way to have the sensors enabled in auto takeoff mode? Can't seem to find the setting.

2) Also I noticed that we were not able to manually take off, which is why we did the auto takeoff in the first place. Is it because we were indoors?

So obviously we decided to wait for a sunny day before we continue and destroy this thing already in the house lmao 🤣.

I appreciate any help. Thank you.

I doubt the satellites are registering inside the house. That's what stabilizes the drone.

Agreed, I would say fly it outdoors and then wait until you have enough experiences with the drone and the way ti flies and reacts before you attempt to fly it indoors where it isn't ideal and could be unpredictable.

Any messages appear in the status area at the top of DJI Fly? Or after tapping that status?

Like others mentioned, flying inside of a house is dangerous. I don't recommend it unless you're able to fly a DJI drone "like riding a bike".
