Greetings All! I took my brand new Mavic Air out for its very first flight! I had a blast and was videoing (or so I thought) the blessed event! I took the card out of the drone, put it in the side of my MacBook and got this message "the card inserted was not readable". I had formatted the card prior to flight through the DJI Go 4 App. I had indication on my iPhone I was recording during the flight. I also tried hooking up the drone to the laptop via the cable as well and had the same result. Have I missed something?

I think I remember reading somewhere that if you turn off the drone before you stop recording, the recorded video file will be unreadable. But I don’t recall that it would make the card itself unreadable. That same thread said that turning on the drone with the card inserted and shutting down again should fix the file. I don’t know if this will help you but it can’t hurt to try. Along with the obvious - try inserting the card into a friend’s computer and see if it’s readable.

Have you ever been able to use the Micro SD card successfully with your Mavic Air to transfer photos and videos? Or is this your first attempt?

First time using the card in my MA and first time flying.

So I Changed Card Readers, Changed MacBooks and still the same issue. So the question is, if I reformat the Card, what format should I use? Fat32? The Card is a 64 GB SanDisc Ultra

Got the Problem Sorted! Thank you all for helping me out, it was very appreciated. The issue was a simple one ... FORMATTING! I formatted the 64GB Ultra card in ExFAT, a shot a small video in my living room (stationary on the floor), and was able to access and download the video to my Laptop ... of my feet! Thank you all again!

It’s discouraging, though, that the original formatting in the drone didn’t work.

Maybe not the drone? But using DJIGo4.
