Hello all pilots. Happy to find this forum and to be part of it. I have a Mavic Air 2 Coming and found out my Android smartphone isn't compatible.(Samsung J7(2018). So I guess if I could get some insights on which phone to purchase as to reliability, battery life, etc. I'm a mental midget when it comes smartphones so any advice would be appreciated. Hi Dave, Welcome to the forum, I own a Samsung Note 10 Plus, while it's a great phone, and works wonders with my Mavic Pro 2, I opted for using a tablet and managed to get a 2nd user Huawei T5 for £50, they come with Google Play so no issues with getting the Dji App, and because it has an IPS display it's very bright, I also managed to get the official DJI tablet mount for £15.99 from Castle Cameras.
You don't require any data when flying the drone, best of luck deciding your next step.
