I can't seem to post with photos on the phone so I've attached the photos but I am really impressed with my new filter. Packaging is excellent, no discernable colour changes and passes calibration. I checked around before buying and there seems to be very limited reviews available.

Also with big fingers Ive found it really hard to change filters over. So I have ordered a couple of cheap ones from eBay to try out and I've watched all the so called life hacks videos to get them off easier, but this morning resting the drone on my leg upside down with the camera facing up and holding the gimbal with my left hand they came off and put on really easily!

The filters seem much harder to deal with than they actually are lol. I know how that sounds,, but after a few weeks using my filters i don't even use the tool that I got to help out. Its a really simple locking mechanism and its just about the right leverage in the right direction. The fiddliest part is putting them in the right position when putting on, getting them off is the easiest bit.

My 2 cents worth

Sim: You figured it out! :)

I'd bet we've all had similar experiences with filters. For orientation, I just look for the "big tab" and with the aircraft upside down it should be the closest tab to you. I too no longer use the PP filter grabber as they go on and off with ease after a few uses. However, I do carry a pair of nitrile gloves to use with filters and a nice, soft, microfiber cloth to keep them clean. Turns out, the gloves actually help holding the joysticks.

I think also my initial hesitation was about how much force to use. Still not a big fan of holding the gimbal and having to twist something, but I guess we are stuck with it until someone comes up with a new idea to attach filters

I think that as long as the gimbal is not powered, holding it gently to install or remove a filter is perfectly safe. Once the filters have been installed a few times, no more "force" is required like the original removal.
