It is located at the island of Lesvos in Greece. In winter,numerous coastal lakes are created because of the rain.And from the sky it appeared like the WW1 "no man's land".

Well that apparently was an island where no man's land was quite literal. There were no men, only beautiful women who ahem...liked each other...
