Dear community,

since I use my drones professionally for film shooting, I am something in the middle between annoyed, upset and disappointed, that the new 4 pro does not come with ND filters. Especially the creators combo, that is clearly addressed to professionals, is almost not usable when you need to shoot with a shutter of 1/50 or 1/60. I have no understanding for DJI to come up with a not ready product start selling it and I was extremely unhappy to understand that the eND Filter will be coming out some day in a not specified future.....

Just in case anyone has a good idea for a workaround or knows a 3rd party filter that matches, I am very happy to get advice!
However, for what I can tell so far the drone itself performs quite well nd the all-I video format delivers quite well!

Have a good day and best regards,

Christoph

Count yourself lucky to even have a Mavic 4 Pro, even without ND filters. LOL! Manufacturers will be reluctant to invest in making them, as the drone is already set up for DJI's impending eND filter that will kill off any interest in manual filters, as they are a pain to use effectively in changing light conditions, requiring landing and swapping filters. Shoot at night until June or July, when it will likely be released, and enjoy the awesome Mavic 4 Pro low light performance that will require removing even the eND filter, which is a 2 stop minimum at ND4.

I have pre-ordered the Freewell filters with a release date of June 15th. I have been using Freewell ND filter for years, they are good filters. The tentative release date for the DJI filters is July 15th.

I think this is like so many products you buy. Get a good pair of shoes, hiking, running etc, pay $150 and up and you need to spend another $20-$50 on good insoles. Just one example of buying a high end product that needs improvement. I’ve just come to expect it.

I also just received my new M4 Pro creator combo package it definitely feels like a rip-off to have to wait for another 2-3 weeks to even be able to use the drone for shooting good daytime video. I had ordered some freewell filters when I ordered the drone not realizing they are still on preorder!

Yhea I feel you. I'm leaving for the Arctic for 2 months in 2 weeks. I ended up 3D printing one. It's OK. Now we can order from the DJI website, but it's still 3-4 weeks from shipping.

On 6 June I ordered a pack of 17 filters for the Mavic 4 Pro from Ali Express for something like $7 and shipping was $4 or so which included import fees. They shipped via air too. Vendor was Behorse and lenses say JSR. I figure worst case I am out $12 or so if they are crap or can't get them through customs. The best case is I get these filters, they actually work great, and I paid next to nothing! From the tracking info thinking i will get them sometimebthis coming week.

To me worth the risk and something someone might want to consider.
