While flying an AG mission with a M3M under multispectral at 200', the obstacle avoidance stopped the mission. I saw nothing. Upon RTH and then start again - no problems. Kinda of strange thing.

May have been something as simple as a reflection.

After mapping and flying many fields, the strange thing is that in this one field at 200' the mission stops for an unseen obstacle. Next week Ill set the drone up to go around this invisible object - that might show me how big it is.

It's common for obstacle avoidance to be fooled by a low, bright sun.

Had that problem facing the sun - I guess it thought I was too close and may hit it.

Lens flares from the sun have been prone to causing false obstacle detections ever since DJI added OA to their aircraft.

Think that explains it, unless OA turned off drone stalls when facing into the sun, usually a low sun. OA doesn't know that big bright thing is millions of miles away. Enjoy

On my very first flight years ago with the new Mavic Pro, a real newbie at the time, that happened to me over a lake. But obstacle avoidance over a lake where there are no obstacles? The clock was ticking down until I decided to go back to the other side of the lake over land and follow the shoreline home as opposed to flying straight back over the lake. Got home with 7% power left and was sweating up a storm. At the time there were no posts re: this issue of water reflection causing obstacle avoidance. Took some time for me to figure out just what had happened. I was so new I simply didn't know the screens to maneuver my way around or even turn off obstacle avoidance. In hindsight I could have flown backwards but just never understood the issue in the midst of my very first flight.
