Noob camera question

started Mavic Air up flat on table first time without landing legs Down. Heard the gimbal motor go and wasn’t sure if it hurts the motor

I noticed upon a fresh start with legs Down the camera points down then looks up. So I imagine it tried to look down and hit the table. Can this damage it?

If you keep doing it, yes it will damage the gimbal motors. It's akin to forgetting to take off a gimbal lock, which almost everyone has done at least once, including myself.

Yes it would be like that. Haven’t done that....yet. Thanks for the reply. 1300 device scares the crap out of me.

Was hoping that it would be intelligent enough not to keep trying the motor.

Ya I know. Scared the **** outta me. But that guy was right, how many people have turned it on with the gimbal cover still on!
