hey guys thought id introduce myself and say hi!

my name is Andy and I live down in a small little country aways from anyone called new zealand...
I've recently upgrade to the mavic pro after buying a phantom 2 about 4 months ago as a gauge to see if id use a drone often enough to warrant spending big bucks....after the 1st flight i already couldn't wait to up grade! so I've had it for a month or so now and still getting used to all the features, filming modes, patterns and that bloody gimbal clamp, jeez thats annoying...but I'm slowly getting there. i am tho having a few problems recently with the connection of the GO4 app and the mavic where ill fly 10meters and it disconnects and then i can use the remote either?? I'm unsure if this is a common problem as i go to fly it somewhere else and will take off for some good distance and have zero problems?

that bloody gimbal clamp, jeez thats annoying

I've been using this gimbal lock for a couple months. It's easier to remove/attach since it combines the dome and lock.

If going elsewhere always fixes the problem, then you could be battling some kind of interference at specific flying locations.

hi mate thanks that gimbal lock looks like a much better idea so think i'll get on and grab 1!
in regards to the interference i was thinking this but then i was out at a lighthouse with not much else around me? i put the mavic onto wifi mode and just used my phone and it worked well enough for me to get some footage...was strange tho as the RC wouldn't let me fly it?
