On a scouting mission later, there's some gorgeous scenery near to me, just need to check out the area, I'll get some shots on this tablet

OK here goes, this is a well known vista point known locally as the black railings

And the old graveyard just out of town, some of the older graves are from the 18th century, I think some aerial shots would look good

One of the headstones was named Murphy.

Any relationship?

I never flew mine over cemeteries.

I figured I'll let the dead rest and the living mourn without a drone buzzing overhead.

I might do a couple of shots from the perimeter but there's too many trees to actually see anything.

Thanks for sharing your photos. :)

Not a relation as far as i know MA2, believe me no-one would blink an eye here, the graves are so old and we have what's known as the new cemetery , this old one contains a significant number of important burials, including 3 mass graves and several individual graves containing the remains of 193 victims of the passenger ship RMS Lusitania, and Jack Doyle the famous boxer.

Some good photos! What did you use to take them? They appeared to be small in size

Samsung Galaxy A9 tablet, the size is prob down to me , I only just got it to run DJI FLY app as I don't have a mobile phone, I'd say its most likely the setting i have it on. they do go a bigger size if you click on them.

Not too shabby for a tablet. Have you flown your drone yet?

No not yet, weather has been awful in Ireland the last week, we can have 4 seasons in a day never mind a year, I admit I'm nervous, want everything to go smoothly Y'know, just have to bite the bullet soon and take it one thing at a time I think.

I am new to flying drones too. I certainly know what you mean about the nervousness. My hands actually sweat sometimes. I'm doing what was advised, flying low and slow in wide open areas.

We have wide open lol 🤣 🤣 , did you see this in another topic ?

Just in case you didn't know and want to share the video footage, you must upload the content to YouTube or a similar platform, and then copy / paste the URL link to the post in the Forum.

After posting, the URL link will change to a thumbnail of the content.

Can't wait wait to see what Dave saw while cruising around. :)
