Every time I unfolded my Mavic controller antennas there is a little spot of oil at the base of the antenna. Does this happen to anyone else and does anyone know what it might be from?

Never seen that one before! Perhaps it is from arm lubrication that was applied at the factory and has lost its viscosity. Becoming thinner as the temperature warms up and then seeps out.

If you purchased it used then perhaps some backyard drone mechanic thought it would be a good idea to add some 3 in 1 oil or Marvel Mystery Oil to those holes.

On both my MP and MPP controllers there is no oil on the antenna hinge

I just looked at mine out of curiosity and there is a small amount of oil, just like in your pics. Mine is pretty new. I wouldn't worry about it.

Yup mine had a little bit of oil on both sides as well. Helps to keep ware down I suppose. I wrapped sewing thread around mine to tighten both antennas up a bit. I PREFER A TIGHTER FIT.
