Just been watching an in-depth tutorial on litchi waypoints. To set up the mission, the guy was using satellite maps. When I open the satellite map (presumably supplied via Google maps?) It shows a very old image, at least 3 yrs old. Given that trees grow, and buildings are built, how can you safely plan a mission with altitudes and headings etc, using an out of date map? It would be embarrassing to fly into a tree which showed as a shrub on the map. Lol.
What is the best way to do this to enable safe and productive flight and videography.

Cia.

In many parts of the world, Google Maps imagery is out of date or the detail isn't suitable for close work.
If you are flying, it's up to you to ensure your drone is safe, so you shouldn't plan missions on google earth imagery alone.
You need to check clearances and avoid planning flights that will be close to obstacles.
