Hi All,
I have just learned speed ramping - have I overdone it? Feel free to let me know. Please feel free to check out (and subscribe to) my YouTube channel.

its certainly a different way of editing footage
I assume you are not keen OMM? My thoughts are that I don't like the result of speeding up all the footage by 200-400% to make it shorter and this gives a different look. You see where you are going and speed to get there to shorten the footage.

It seems to me that you are using speed ramping as a transition between clips rather than a fade, or a dissolve, etc. To me, I don't like it used that way. The actual speed ramping is just fine.

As for transitions, I'd prefer a standard transition from one scene to the next. Your actual flying is also a bit un-smooth- e.g.: You correct your flight with excessive quick yaws and gimbal movements. Best to excise those few jerks and bounces for a smoother flow of the video.

Thank you for your comments. My only excuse is this is early footage and my flying has improved slightly. I take on board what you say about the speed ramping as transitions. Perhaps overused. It's all a big learning curve that I am very gradually getting the hang of and comments like yours do help, so thank you again.

Thanks for taking my comments constructively. We are ALL always learning on each and every flight. In fact, I still don't know how to speed ramp yet! I need to learn it myself.
