Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with an over heating battery? I get it with just one of my Mavic 4 Pro batteries and wonder if it is a fault?

Thanks!

Are you flying "aggressively" if so, Don't do that! lol. If not, YES its a fault and I would stop using that battery now ALSO stop charging it.

What is your definition of overheating? Is it a specific temperature?

I have, yes.

One of my 3x batteries that came with the Creator combo, triggers a Battery Overheat message. Only that one, funnily enough.

I am sending in my Mavic 4 Pro and the batteries for inspection anyway, due to issues with it, and have asked them to inspect the batteries in particular.

Strange, never had this issues with my AIR 3s.

Hoping to get some clarity over the next few days when DJI receives the drone and batteries and inspects them.

The user Meta on here posted with a similar problem on a Mavic 4 Pro

The battery was replaced by DJI

Thanks. I am flying how I always do, which is mixed, sometimes sports mode. The other battery hasn't given me a warning under similar conditions whilst this one has twice now. Strangely the outside temps are much cooler now and flying in the same way had no issues when it was 20 degrees C warmer outside, which is why I think it is a fault rather than my flying.
I got the warning twice in the last 3 times flying with that battery so based on these flights are no different than a usual flight I do, and the weather being cooler if seems like a fault that has developed.

The warning goes away when I leave the drone hovering for 30 seconds.

I have had the drone since launch and this is the first time I am seeing this warning flying in Hong Kong with very hot summers.

Fly the "Faulty" Battery in any mode but sport...Does the error appear? if so You have a fault. If not you are simply Pushing the drone hard in Sport mode.

Hope this is not a large issue the M4 battery as they are no longer available here in the US and DJI has no warranty support here.

So far with the 3 I have this message has not shown up.

US prices have also shot up for anyone with remaining stock. Typical.

Been out of stock at B@H for months. Don’t expect to see them back due to recent FCC restrictions.
