Thank you! The normal tides here are 2.5 - 3 feet, so most of that bar is underwater during a high tide. I did plan on going during a low to get the bar mostly exposed, but it was shear luck that those two boats chose to head out when they did.Very nice work. You did a nice job of timing the shots to add interest with the boats arriving and departing. What sort of post processing did you do?
That's a very interesting bar extending off that small island. Is it relative stable? What's the tidal range like there? Does the bar submerge at high tide?
I live in a small cottage on a bay on eastern Long Island (NY) and routinely fly over the water looking for interesting photo ops. Here are some of my recent favorites.
