You would think they could come up with a more dramatic name than "Mt Index" for such a striking mountain. Was the shot of Mt Index planned or just good luck? Unless it refers to finger etc.
Looking at the terrain view in google maps it looks like the valley to the south of the mountain would offer some great views from above the trees.
The northern sides of the three east west valleys south of Mt Index seem appreciably steeper than their southern sides, do you know of a reason for that? In fact it looks as if a lot of the east west valleys around there have steeper north sides

^^ I was just reading some Star Wars trivia that said that Chewbacca was not allowed to wander off while filming the 3rd film in the PNW. They were worried someone would shoot him thinking he was Bigfoot.
You are indeed fortunate to live where there is such magnificent scenery. You captured it stunningly! All th images are superb.
