I got some stills and video yesterday of a new foal on Carrot Island near Beaufort, NC. The island and nearby Shackleford Banks (at Cape Lookout) both support small herds of wild horses, perhaps descended from animals that made it ashore from Spanish shipwrecks hundreds of years ago.
