Pictures vs. video image quality

Whenever I'm taking video and I switch over to camera mode to take a picture, the image changes and looks anemic and over-exposed compared to the video image. Is there a way to take a picture of exactly what the camera sees when in video mode ?

Each mode has its own color settings. You need to go into your camera settings, check what the color is set to and adjust to something more to your liking.
