Someone recently showed a video of the Bethlehem steel plant.
As with Luken's steel (both are out) the plants look the same, pipe for pipe.
Our steel is the best, bar none.

Nice video. Technically, Clariton is not a Steel Mill. It's a Coke Plant.
They bake coal is a dry distillation process to collect the gases to produce chemicals. Most of the chemicals are shipped to plants in the south to produce plastics and synthetic materials. Benzene is one the most dangerous.
The coke is used in Steel making, but the profit is in the chemicals.
Coke gas, similar to natural gas, is sent to Irwin works to fuel steel furnaces. The large green pipes you see along 837 are coke gas.

Coke plant or steel mill, it's good to see someone capturing a bit of the industrial heritage of the Pitt region. I lived there about 40 years ago, just before most of the works in Pittsburgh and other nearby places. Mesta manufacturing was huge in its day, for example.

I would love to see the OP do a flight over Neville Island....

Just looked at it and seems like a cool place to fly! I’ll be looking into it for sure.
