I can't figure this out. I'm not a beginner. I designed a drone for DoD from scratch. Been flying M2P since the beginning. DJI since 2011. DIY before that 2005. Bought this one on Ebay. It has a few problems that don't seem important. Front right vision sensor gives an error. It can only sense in reverse. White LED does not come on. Sometimes makes a whistle noise when moving forward. Looks like new props, not sure if they're balanced. Broken leg I glued it. It drifts ever so slightly compared to my original M2P, when it's windy. I did IMU and compass and Gimbal calibrations. I don't have a PC here.

The real problem is the Gimbal. It's cold and windy here so my first test was inside, holding it in my hands. Gimbal works perfect! Can twist and move it all around to the extreme and the video is perfectly smooth. Even with heavy amorphic lens. That was just a quick test. Took it off. Tried bumping the camera with my finger. Holding it away from center. It works perfect and recovers immediately on all 3 axis. Maybe better than my original M2P. Feels strong. Then I took off props, and started motors. When they idle slowly, the gimbal immediately goes limp. Roll axis and sometimes Yaw axis. Within about 1 second. And it never tries to recalibrate. It never comes back no matter how long I wait with motors idling. Sometimes the Yaw starts working again. The Pitch never fails it continues to work strongly. It works great even while flying. I did an experiment taping the Roll in place. The moment I turn off motors, it calibrates and works perfect again. Tried jiggling the connector on main board. Cleaned it. Inspected cable looking for cracks.

I'm hesitant to use parts from my other craft to test it. My friend has a new gimbal I can try, without camera in it. I just ordered a new gimbal control PCB. I do not have a cable to try. It looks ok to me. I know it's the most common failure, does that fit my symptoms? Which part is most likely to be bad? Any theories?
Thanks for your time and reading this!

Problem 1. REPLACE IT!!!! Glueing the old one Creates problems! Also..
Have you "Introduced" the new gimbal to the old Drone with Python? The cam cant find its new level without it.

The fact that you glued the arm kinda throws the pid off its axis. When you replaced the gimbal did you do the Python cal?

White LED does not come on
That could be a simple cable connector issue.
Looks like new props, not sure if they're balanced
DJI props don’t need to be balanced by the end user. They’re good right out of the box.

Endless choices. There are many parts to that little puzzle and could be difficult to determine without the test equipment needed.

Sorry I meant the tiny leg next to the green or red LED.
Which part being bad fits my symptoms/description? Which is easiest to replace?
