Really like the fit and finish of these filters - probably my new favourite!

I got a set in from China that look just like these but are flat black. Came in a really nice case for only $37. They do the job. The black open sun shade is a real improvement over the clear sealed dome too. No more glare and the Mavic doesn't get near as hot. I'm happy with these accessories.

The frames might look the same but I assure you the glass quality, customer support, and lifetime warranty is not the same.
But if you were filming with the clear dome on before, I am guessing image quality is not a priority.
Glad you found something that worked for you.

Hello Jeff
I am planning to buy the Polar Pro Katana.
I live in France and I wanted to know when it will be available there.
If I buy it from Polar pro website what will be the delay?
Can you recommend me a good mount that will fit for my iPad mini 4 and the Katana?

It should be with our French resellers in about 3 weeks. If you order from our site, I believe international shipping for the Katana is $19.99 and should take about 10 days to France. Use coupon code: Springtime10 for 10% off.

For an ipad mount really anything that threads onto a 1/4 20 mount is good. If you search "iPad tripod mount" on Amazon, any of those should work. I personally use my iPhone with the Katana, so I cant recommend any specific mount.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Hi,

I bought through Amazon and the seller is "Leewa" But delivery took a couple weeks.
Amazon.com : Camera Lens HD Filters, Leewa 2017 MRC-UV MRC-CPL ND4 ND8 ND16 Camera Lens HD Filters for DJI MAVIC Pro Drone : Sports & Outdoors

I haven't tested all of them yet but the fit and precision quality is quite acceptable. Actually, perfect. As Jeff said you won't get Polar Pro tech support or his warranty, but I'd be surprised if any expert could tell the difference from the results. I have Polar Pro filters for U/W use and they are good, but easily scratched. They are expensive too but as a red filter for various depth ranges, they are the best.

For mounting- I put these on the camera with everything powered down. Then make sure the camera is horizontal before turning the Mavic on. It balances the same with and without the filter in place but you do have to be gentle with the gimbal and keep your fingers off the glass. Some filters, especially lower cost ones can be easily scratched and that damage is permanent. Only the high end filters like Tiffen can be cleaned without leaving scratch marks.

Regarding the clear dome, I heeded the advice of experienced Mavic Pro owners and replaced it with one of those black lens shade domes that has an open front. I only ever flew the camera once with the clear dome just to see the problem of the glare. I like the little black lens shade, solves the problem. It mounts without interfering with the filters.

I believe if you want to spend the additional money for name brand, go with the Polar Pro but if you are just an amateur photographer and don't need to impress anyone except yourself these will save some money and likely do just as good a job.

Maybe some independent could do a comparison video to show the advantages of the Polar Pro over the lower cost ones.
