Poor quality pictures from new Mavic Pro

Hi all,

I have recently bought a Mavic. I have taken it out a couple of times now and the photos I have got are appalling quality. The video is terrible to. I have not played with the app and allowed the drone to auto focus. I have seen some pictures posted which are fantastic and look nothing like mine. I am so disappointed at the moment I feel that I have downgraded from a P3 standard as the pictures I got from that were loads better. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong and how much setting up the drone takes before shooting quality. I am hoping its operator. Here are some examples. Regards David Bowen, Wales

Were these downloaded from the micro SD card and then reduced in size? What size are the recorded image files?

Are you using the images from your phone or from the SD card in the Mavic?

Files named "screen_xxx" like you posted are low res thumbnails taken from phone storage/live view, not originals from the aircraft's card...

Someone is going to be pretty darn happy when they see the REAL pictures on the SD card!

Best results are from using RAW though you need a bit of experience to process them optimally.

Hi all, I copied these from my tablet. I will go back out tomorrow and take some so I can get them from my sd card instead.

Hi all, Thanks very much for your replies. I have just been out and had a quick flight. This above Morrisons in Brecon, Powys. Took this picture off the sd card . Much better. I am happy with the pictures now. I am sure with time I will get better. Thanks once again

I made a similar mistake when viewing directly from the SD card on my tablet. The videos were good but the stills were very pixelated. It turns out that the default program the tablet used to display the photo was showing an enlarged thumbnail image. When using a different program on the same tablet the photos were as good as the video.
