Hi all,

Due to the ban I purchased a backup creator combo, partially justifying the price in "at least I can sell the RC Pro 2 and get some money back". However, I saw a video on YouTube from someone with a similar idea that found the controller and drone are bound together, you can't just activate one individually.

It is what it is, still happy to have spares, just checking that this line of thinking is true.

Thanks!

Yes you can. As the private owner, there are no government restrictions on what you can do with your own equipment. I personally wouldn't sell it to anyone outside the country but feel free to unbind the controller, reset it, then sell it anyone you wish. If you are the owner who bound the drone and controller, all you have to do is unbind it; it's that's simple. If it is NIB, then you don't even need to activate it or power it up, just sell it. It is not bound. It might be paired with the drone in the box it came with buy *anyone* can re-pair the controller with their own compatible drone.

They're just pre-bounded in the factory
More accurately, they are pre-paired in the factory. Since there is no DJI account yet associated with the drone or controller, there is no binding yet unless this is a replacement drones for a drone you sent in earlier that was bound.

Sure Sell it if you dont like it, Frankly all the screened controllers besides the pro were "money grabs" by DJI.
A tablet is the way to go IMO.
