Hi all new mm owner here. Got the basic edition without power supply to charge batteries / RC. Do I need a 12v or 5v supply for charging?

the output from the charger according to the specs in the manual say 12V 1.5A/9V 2A/5V 3A rated power 18 W and the max charging voltage is rated at 8.4 V dji make the charger that comes with the combo and although any standard USB out charger will work it will take a lot longer to charge than the 18W one

USB fast chargers normally automatically select the appropriate voltage. Basic chargers supply just 5v which will work, but take a while. Fast chargers will supply 5v initially and check if they can step up to 9v or 12v. A higher voltage at the same current means more power transferred and hence a quicker charge.

Any good quality USB fast charger should work. Look to get one that can provide 18w out of a single port if possible. Many fast chargers have 3 or 4 ports and state 30w or 48w output, but this is divided between all the ports, so only 10-12w from each port.

Thanks for your help. Found a good one at Banggood. Only 12 bucks.
