...so I wanted to check in and say hello. I’ve been flying for a few months now and I’m hoping to get
my new Mini up today for the first time. It’s been crazy windy around here and finally today looks decent.

Welcome to the forum. For your new Mini’s sake, please know that windspeed at higher altitudes may be greater than on the ground. You’ll want to check ahead of time via apps like UAV Forecast, because Mini’s are notorious for having issues with higher windspeed. For your area, use common sense, but here’s the local forecast:

Thanks for the welcomes and the wind info! Yeah, today looks beautiful and everyone is out, but even at treetop level you can see the wind’s higher than it is on the ground. I’m currently eyeing Tuesday, early afternoon on Windfinder.
