I am having 2 problems with my new Mavic 4 controller (the Creator controller). The first is that it does not turn off when I fold it up. The lights stay on and the battery wears down. Anyone else having this issue?

Second, I was flying it yesterday and at 2 or 3 times during my flights, the drone refused to tilt the gimbal up or down more than a few degrees, and also (if I remember correctly) refused to rotate the drone more than a few degrees. The only way I could figure out to fix it was to initiate return to home and then cancel it. Then the drone returned to normal operation. Could there be some button I pushed to cause this? Movie mode?

Thanks for any help or suggestions you can give me on these issues.

When you fold the display back in it only sets it to sleep mode after the time that is set in the settings. It does not power off but screen will go dark. If yours is set to screen off when arm is closed it disables the sleep timer and goes dark when closed. Controller is only in sleep mode. You can set the auto power off after sleep timer but lowest is 30 mins but would still save your battery. To wake it up you need to hit the power button. I am happy it works this way as I like to use it like a tablet for reviewing pics and video. I am not experiencing any of the gimbal issues you are describing.

I vaguely remember you might need a sw update to help with the limited gimbal range; but I can't be sure.

Use the power button on the top left of the screen to completely turn off the RC Pro 2 and use the settings menu to adjust what happens when you fold down the screen, if they are not to your liking.

In portrait mode the vertical gimbal range is limited to +/-10°.

Apparently there is a tilt angle expansion setting to help somewhat exceed the +-10° limit.

Yes, the tilt angle range can now be expanded to 34° from 22° (now +11° and -23° instead of the original +11° to -11°) so for tall spires in portrait/vertical mode, shoot from just below the top of the spire, instead of the bottom or the middle.
