Question about FAA numbers?

I bought my drone used and the previous owner had it registered. How do I go about registering it?

remove the numbers and put your FAA number on it and done

unless you register as a 107 you actually dont register the drone. only register yourself under the hobby flying. under 107 you do the drone

sorry i think it came off weird

if you register under 107 for commercial then you register the drone (each drone separate, so each has its own FAA number)

if you register under hobby then you are only registering yourself and not the drone ( so every drone you own has the same FAA number)

Also, apparently your FAA number has to be visible on the drone without removing and parts, like the battery.

Apparently I was doing it wrong (I had mine in the battery compartment) but changed everything yesterday.
