I recently bought an used Mini 3 pro w/ three batteries from online store (pawnshop). Everything works except that two of the batteries have the tabs pasted with epoxy glue. One battery has the glue on both tabs making it hard to inside the drone or into the two way charging hub. But the difference I'm just finding out is it came with three plus batteries instead of the standard batteries. Should i let them know if this or just use the batteries as is even though its making the drone more than 249g?

I will be reimbursed for one battery as long as a paid receipt is provided.

Comments and suggestions are welcomed. Thanks

What are the details on the receipt about the drone and accessories?

No receipt was sent with it but the website with drone has only this statement and pics of the rc smart controller, drone and the bag. The bag is not opened. Thats all.

The receipt seems to be rather generic and non-descript and doesn't even mention batteries, so not much to go on. "Minimal wear" is rather useless for any electronic equipment. The seller should have written out details, not used the generic box layout. For me it would have been sufficient warnings to not purchase.

I would question the “fully functional” part if the batteries don’t fit as needed.
Refund comes to mind and shop somewhere else.

One question, should i have asked if its the standard battery or the intelligent battery? Sometimes the battery(s) is shown in the pics.

You should have asked for battery details, including the number of charge cycles on each an the date of original purchase. If the details aren't satisfactory, then your risk goes up and your offer price should drop to match your increased risk.

Being an online pawnshop I wouldnt be expecting to give me much if any info on the batteries. All they do is see that it flies and what comes with it.

When new, the Mini3 Pro came with a standard, intelligent battery that put it under 250 grams. There were 2 different Fly More kits available. The Fly More kit came with 2 standard batteries and the Fly More Plus kit came with 2 extended flight time batteries. The tabs that hold the battery in the drone can be easily broken off if compressed too far, that is probably why they have epoxy on them. If an extended flight time battery is inserted in the drone then it will sense that battery and broadcast RID once it is flying. All DJI drone batteries are "intelligent" batteries. If the batteries fit and work, I would keep using them. If you want, you can buy new batteries, either the standard or the extended flight batteries.

Well I learned something new. So the batteries and charging hub are the fly more plus kit. Hence the extended fly batteries. One battery can replaced and I'll get reimbursed for getting it. Guess I'll get the plus battery. I learned also that using the plus battery I'll have to register the drone cause of being over 249g w/ the plus battery. It'll just be for recreational usage anyway.

One of the batteries, I removed the epoxy and replaced it w/ gorilla glue. I will let it sit and cure for several days and see how the tab holds up. Will give an update on the outcome of using gorilla glue.

Yes, and drones over 250 grams need to be registered with the FAA but it only costs $5. If you get sent to any web site that charges more than that you are not on the FAA site. Use this link to the FAA site: FAADroneZone
