Hi everyone. I'm trying to get a better grip on use of cruise control in my Mini 4 Pro. In that regard, I have a question:
I can only get cruise control for speed to activate when I have FULL throttle commanded, engage with C1 and release the throttle. Is that a design limitation ... i.e. the way it's supposed to work, or do I have to do something differently to engage with less than 100% throttle? With less than full throttle, I can't get cruise control to engage. Thanx in advance for any feedback.

After you have engaged cruise control and you back off the throttle a little and you attempt to "reset" cruise control using the C1 button (at the new, lower speed) what happens?

I've never seen that problem with cruise control in my Mini 4 Pro, or other DJI drones. Setting cruise control maintains the speed and direction in effect at the time.

Does the problem you see occur only with forward flight? Or do you see the same behavior with other flight directions - sideways, backwards, up, down, ..." Does the problem occur with all flight modes - cine, normal, and sport?

Hi there and thanx for your interest. Firstly, I haven't flown for a little while, so am sorta reimmersing myself. To answer your questions, I was using only forward flight in both normal and cine modes and experiencing the same difficulty in each mode. The speed locks in nicely and maintains groundspeed once engaged. It's just engaging that's the problem if attempted at other than full throttle.
I'm not clear on your question: "do you see the same behavior with other flight directions - sideways, backwards, up, down?" Perhaps I've been misguided by believing that cruise control could only be used for forward direction speed. No??

Hi there. I think I understand your question. If cruise control is engaged at full throttle and I change the throttle setting, cruise control predictably disengages. If I then attempt to reengage cruise control with less than full throttle using C1, cruise control doesn't engage. It only seems to engage if I'm using full throttle. I know that the throttle needs to be held steady when engaging cruise control, and that's easy to do at full throttle because I'm pushing against the stop i.e. no ability for the stick to move. There's no hard stop at other than full forward. Perhaps I'm just not holding the stick still enough?
