Quieter flying backwards?

Has anyone else found their MM to be quieter flying backwards when flying fast? Mine seems to be, both going into the wind and with the wind.

I suspect it may be due to the rear props being lower and, when going forward, they are half in the wake of the front props. When going backwards the wake from the lower rear props goes under the front props.

Aha, but since the drone was easily in sight I could see where I was going, in full HD, 3D even! Quite an amazing thing this line of sight flying!
