Example:
Giving thieves and or those involved in terrorist activity, access to the locations of drone pilots operating very heavy and very expensive drones is asking for that drone to be stolen. The pilot could possibly injured or killed and the drone can, may, or will be used to hit a manned aircraft or one filled with passengers. Is public access to RID just asking for trouble? Is it not? The drone may be stolen and used in future nefarious acts as well. The public includes home grown and foreign terrorists, not just the usual citizenry of the United States. We now have locks on Airline pilot doors. RID will open those doors. It's not if, it's when. Theft and robbery are just a minor issues compared to what those active in terrorist activity may do with a highly capable, expensive, long range and high weight capacity stolen drone. Terrorists won't need to take a bomb ON a plane, when they can take the bomb to the plane
