Has the range (signal and flight time wise) improved compared to the Mavic Pro?

As far as I have understood, Mavic 2 has Occusync 2. When used with the DJI Goggles RE, it can use both 2.4 and 5.8 GHz whereas the Mavic Pro only supports 2.4. Not sure how much that means in reality.

The specs are on the DJI site and show an improvement in range and flight time for the M2.

If 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz are the same as with WIFI, then 2.4ghz should have longer range but lower quality video and 5.8ghz lower range but higher quality video.

I flew my Mavic 2 Pro last night on a few test flights from home. For me, the range is ~30% better. I didn't do any hard data analysis of distances, etc, but I know my MPP limits pretty well from this location and I was able to blow past those limits.

For example, there is a nice sized lake nearby I like to shoot. My MPP can hit the near shoreline before I start to lose video signal. The M2P flew over the lake and well to the other side before I started to lose video signal. It was pretty impressive.
