Rapid descent with only backward stick input

I emailed this same note to dji support today and hoping for any help here on the forum:

Immediate and rapid descent when backward stick is only input. I have calibrated vsp twice and imu three times. Unit flies correctly after calibration but after a short time during each flight the problem will reoccur.

Update:

DJI recommended to send the MA in for repair of compass. So it goes UPS this week.

Perhaps the Air is different, but on the MP backward left stick in the default setting does cause a rapid descent.

EDIT: I am guessing by "backward stick" you mean the right stick that should make the Mavic move backward. Sometimes I type before I think.

Yes. I started to use “reverse “ instead of “backward “ but either way I know it can be confusing when I mean backward flight with right stick input in mode2.

Update
MA was replaced under warranty with a different MA.

The replacement MA exhibited the exact same problem when pulling back right stick in mode 2.

DJI said to return it to repair, which I did.

The “replacement” MA was repaired under warranty and returned to me yesterday.
