Rapid/parallel charging unit

Also, do these chargers void any DJI battery warranties?
They'd have to prove it first. Bear in mind batteries only have 6month warranty anyway.

I went for the rcgeek unit, it's the only one that charges the batteries correctly. The others undercharge them by various amounts. The other chargers on the market almost appear to be repurposed phantom 4 chargers with mavic 2 connectors as they seem suited to charge to 17.4v instead of 17.6v

The sunnylife which Rick sells appears to have been revised from a recent video he's posted.

Unsure if they fixed the rail voltage issues they were having.

How would they? They would have no clue on if a 3rd party was hooked up to it....the only thing app sees is number of times charged, serial # etc

Yup my rcgeeks actually charges them correctly and consistently....its a win. I was very curious if it would undercharge and it does not...a unit that did undercharge was that sunnylyfe version rick has on drone valley.

Hi Mike

I am about to buy the RcGeek 6/1 which is the white box with LEDs etc., 4 batteries and 2 USB.
But nobody on Amazon can verify for me if the input voltage is variable 100-240V.
Do you have the MAVIC2 charger with white body? Can you pls verify the input voltage as savvy for international purchases or is it really only 110V?

Th is in advance!

You don't think the model/SN of the charger is not recorded with the charging history? Maybe even actively uploaded to DJI. After all they record everything else. ...I really don't know, just sayin' be careful about what you assume.

They are SMART batteries but if their memory is anything like mine, they won't be able to recall which charger they used! :)

But seriously, I, too, wondered what they do store in their memory banks? Just cycles or how fast those cycles are completed or similar info recording that they were overly taxed in charging? Obviously speculation.

Nope...i think what u see in app is about as smart as those batteries are its just a ti industries chip nothing crazy....it basically is just a lipo with some safe guards built in and checked at start of charge connection.... and dji lets us see some of the details of lipo charges and serial # in app. The app will also notify us if cells are individually broken ....but that is about it..i can try to dig around in debug mode in assistant and see what i can find......when i was digging around a few days ago i didnt see nothing that popped out at me...just status of each cell, battery total mah, etc. And also being able to switch to non dji to cancel auto landings (switch to 1, 2, or 3) ... but ill go on and look deeper. As far as dji knowing i i really think they would have no clue. Good thing is the 3rd party rcgeek charger has all the safe guards as the stock charger. So checks overcurrent, wont overcharge, etc

Okay, Mike, it is on you! :) But apparently delivery is via the proverbial "slow boat from China!"

Isn't there some third party app or program that provides more information on battery status?

Does the RCGEEK version of the 5:1 need to have the case grounded? I just got one over the weekend but have not even popped it out of the box, much less cracked the case to see if it is grounded.

I popped mine open and it was grounded...granted id like the wire to be a little thicker so i may go back in and change that.

Why the slowboat? Did u follow my link a page back? Hopefully its the same version....that was the only thing that scared me about these chargers they all look the same between brands ....then on top of that u have version 1 and version 2o_O

I believe so but on occasion, info/seller info on Amazon can get dicey. When I just clicked on your link again, Amazon says that I ordered it already. So time will tell. But delivery is sometime in March with a wide range of dates.

This one looks interesting.

[Upgrade Grounded] Powerextra Mavic 2 Pro & Zoom Battery Charger, 5 in 1 Rapid Smart Battery Charger Hub (Charge 3 Batteries & 2 USB Ports Simultaneously) Compatible with DJI Mavic 2 Pro/Zoom https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HMVTTKR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_U6UyCb0BHHF09
That's just a rebadged YXC charger. Unfortunately the rail voltage on these is all over the place like the Sunnylife. Mine developed a fault where the USB ports would randomly stop working so I had to return that also.

I think they are all made in the same factory and just rebranded. I don't know if it was this or another thread, but it would be nice if they had UL or other stamp of "approval!" Darn things can burn down your house if not made correctly.

Odd! I had mine next day!

amazon link says a delivery to be on march 26th if ordered now. i refer to a blue one - a version for mavic 2. useless.

white one is on prime - but the white one says it is for mavic air.

and, as i bothered to actually search amazon for it :) - does anybody know
Amazon.com: rcgeek mavic 2 pro charger

what shows in there with those blue units - fstop labs, powerextra, startrc, rcstyle and rcgeeks - is it essentially a same exact unit, a 5in1 ? looks pretty much the same to me... or is it not?

Yes - March xxx delivery. Why he got one day or two day or overnight - who knows. Like I said, most look like the same unit with a different brand on each.

So... we or *I* shall see!!!!! I've gotten reasonably adept at shipping stuff back to Amazon without having to pay shipping "back" costs.

Oh, I now see TWO different sellers.
