Raw footage or convert to mpeg-2

Hi , I am shooting 4k at 30fps, and D-LOG.

When editing the video, I am wondering if I can am able to convert the raw footage to mpeg-2 for editing in premiere pro . when converting using wondershare it reduces the file size considerabily and I am wondering if I am losing important info if I do this.

You should use the raw footage in premiere pro. That way you have all the original bits to work with. After that you can compress it any way you want.
