Does the RC 2 have a shorter run time than the RC 1. Not long after a full charge the last light starts blinking.

Fair enough. I'll mark the time just to see, but I only had a short flight 10 min or so with the neo, and 20 min or so with the Air 3s.

@Rchawks looking at the specs from DJI it says run time for the RC1 is 4 hours max with fully charged batteries and the RC2 is 3 hours so yes it does have a shorter run time .

@Rchawks yes its mainly because the RC2 has more work to do with the 04 transmission system it uses and it probably means that the built in cooling fan is also running a lot in hot sunny conditions

I wondered if that might be the reason it seemed to use more battery. I never thought about a cooling fan, though it seems like a good idea to keep everything cool inside. I'd hate to have a blank screen mid flight.

Same on mine. I get 2 solid 1 hour flight sessions out of mine (6 packs on M4P) off a single RC2 charge. It'll b down to flashing second light by then.
This is good to know. I always begin with a full charge but keep a constant eye on battery as the time passes pretty quick when you're flying and taking pictures or video.

The RC2 charges at a higher wattage when connected to a sufficiently capable PD charger than the RC1.

I believe I've seen it draw as much as 22W.

I see there is a slot in the RC2 for a spare battery. I just received the Mavic 4T. I am getting conflicting info on the web on what battery can be used. Before I make a post, does anyone on this thread know for sure?

New to the site,
Thanks,
