Hello fellow pilots ,
I bought a DJI mavic 2 zoom a month ago , few days back midflight , it lost connection. The DJI App disconnected. I brought the drone back using sticks
I thought the cable which connects the RC to mobile wasn't working
I tried to connect the RC to mobile using USB , worked perfectly once but second time it also stopped working
The DJI charger doesn't charge the RC but if I use any other charger then it chargers.
I've checked the cables and chargers they're fine since I tried them on other drones
I've updated the firmware as well using DJI assistant 2 but still no luck

Can someone please help !

Hi and Welcome!

Regarding the Go 4 disconnect:
  1. What mobile device are you using?
  2. Try running your mobile in airplane mode with all other apps closed.
  3. Ensure you are using a quality USB data cable.
Regarding the DJI charger not charging the RC:
  1. I am not familiar with the M2 charger, but if it will not show a charge on another device with the same connector then it sounds like a defect that should be covered under warranty.

Sorry if you already know the right answer, but which port are you charging the RC with? The side or bottom? (I was a newby doing it wrong).

The side USB port is delicate, so put a magnetic USB port adapter on it and leave that on all the time to protect it more. Be careful to keep it clean though, metal filings can get stuck there and possibly short it.

1. I'm using a OnePlus 3T. It has been running perfectly but since the last one week the problem has been plaguing me

2. I shall try that. I've even tried on Samsung s8 and Redmi note 5 but the RC doesn't connect to the mobile. But the cable is fine since that same cable has worked perfectly on another remote.

3. The cable is by dji only and when I use it , it shows that it's charging but the app doesn't run

Have there been any Go 4 updates since the time it used to work? Unless you have turned off auto-updates in Google Play it could happen. An auto-update hosed my video feed.

If the cable worked on other devices and a another remote (you have two?) then it sounds like a connection problem. Look closely inside your USB port on both the RC and your OnePlus. There may be something in there blocking a connection.

DJI cables are notorious for their bad quality. Use the USB cable that came with your OnePlus to the center USB port on the RC and disconnect any cable plugged into the side of the RC.

1. No app update so far. I uninstalled and installed it again

2. I had used the charger and cables on someone else's mavic to make sure they work or not. They do , so that means cables are fine.

3. The USB cable earlier worked fine but now only chargers my phone.

I've looked into them so debri or anything and blown into them. Still no luck

Anything else I can do please. ?
