It's been a while since I needed to do this, but if I remember correctly, the drone (sensors) had to be pretty much straight on to the screen, and the distance needs to be within a couple of inches, for the square to turn green and proceed to the next target. You need to raise, lower, and angle it simultaneously. It can be a bit of a pain, to be sure. Part of the problem is that the SENSORS need to be directly in front of the screen, and not the drone itself. Since the sensors are not positioned center of the drone, it looks counterintuitive. Also make sure you are pointing the CORRECT sensor at the right time. I fought it forever before I discovered that I was pointing RIGHT instead of LEFT as the screen was indicating.

It is def a challenge, especially the side and top sensors. Keep experimenting and eventually It'll click.

Hi Robert it is a mavic pro 1
i have done what you suggest but the image from the drone onto the PC is a different shape than the one on the PC even when moving in and out or sideways

That usually means you are introducing some tilt, or angle, even though it's not apparent to you.

I had to do it yesterday. I had completed it both front and downward sensors. Then it told me to restart the drone. Then it tried to go all over again and it didn't like it cause I was moving it too much. Getting movement errors, so I stopped and figured the first time it had calibrated so why is it making me do it again? I unplugged and started up Go 4. Everything was fine.

this is the red shape that the drone projects onto my pc no matter how i hold the drone it will not match the green square on the pc

I haven't had to calibrate mine yet but it appears to me the red trapazoid shape is telling you the drone is not perpendicular to the screen. Looks like the drone wants you to tilt it front to back. I see your computer screen is at an angle. The drone should be 90 degrees perpendicular to the screen, i.e. the screen perfectly vertical and the drone perfectly horizontal.

Your laptop screen is not at 90 degrees to the drone so you're getting the parrallelogram rather than a square / box. Change the angle on your screen.

Yep, drone is at an angle or laptop screen - like a data projector being at an angle to the screen. The only other reason, if both are held almost perfectly 90° to each other, could be a sensor whacked out of alignment, but never heard of this...

I hate sensor calibration!

I tried to calibrate the sensors a few days ago, but after 20 min. of holding the drone I gave up. I though I had the screen of my iMac at the right angle but maybe I didn’t.
What would cause the sensors to go out of line, I did record a sunset last week, could the sun be the cause ?
