Hi, I‘m new to drones and I wonder how many of you are controlling the flight with Vietual Joysticks instead of using the remote controller?

The RC will have advantages but it‘s a bit of a hassle: remove the mobile from the case (my iPhone X is protected by an Apple leather case), fasten it to the RC etc. It might be less complicated by using just the mobile? I know the range is limited then but that‘s not an issue to me.

The RC will give you better range than your phone and actual joysticks are much easier to use than virtual sticks. Not using the RC also puts you at the mercy of a Go 4 or iPhone glitch.

The RC is very much worth the hassle of setting it up.

I would guess that virtually no one does this. You are immediately putting yourself at a disadvantage, both in flight and in safety. If for some reason your remote was low on battery or damaged and you absolutely had to fly, then perhaps it would be useful.
