Remote ID already activated on newly purchased mini drones?

Hello,

From my understanding, remote ID is being activated automatically when firmware is updated. If one was to purchase a new mavic mini today, would the drone come pre-installed with activated remote ID firmware? If so, is it possible to roll back firmware versions?

If you literally mean a Mavic Mini i.e. the first of the mini series drones, I would suspect it was boxed and sealed before RID became a concern. I doubt that a Mavic Mini has been manufactured in several years. I do not know if it even has the hardware to broadcast it.

It's because it has a heavier battery putting it over the limit, so we'll just decide to turn on rid permanently. Even though it can determine which battery you're using. And now defeating the purpose of having sub250g.
