Brand new Mavic Pro for my birthday, today, looking forward to going out and trying it. No such luck.

Remote will not connect to Mavic. Yellow light flashing at the back of the Mavic, but remote says 'Connecting' and just hangs.

I have tried re-pairing, either by using the App, or by pressing C1 C2 Video and then Shutter, and neither works.

In short, I have never got to the ATTI/GPS screen on the remote.

Odd thing is that I get a perfect picture from the gimbal camera on my iPhone app.

Sounds like it's got to be returned, but if anyone had any bright ideas, it would be great.

That's really odd that you have a picture from the camera. Make sure the switch on the Mavic is set to RC (switch it back and forth a couple times to be sure. Have you tried both methods to pair?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I thought odd too. But yes, I've tried both methods.

Reinstall the firmware in both devices and check that the toggle is set to RC.
I have also tried this - the app claims to want to upgrade the firmware on the craft, but it fails at 39% - I presume because of the same connection problems. Is it possible to upgrade the firmware on the controller independent of the craft?

Yes. You connect the controller to DJI Assistant and upgrade as usual.

Sorry, still failing here. Downloaded DJI Assistant 2 and it appears to do absolutely nothing.
That happen sometimes. Shut down and disconnect the remote. Reconnect, and turn the remote back on. Make sure only one USB port in the RC is occupied. If the side port is plugged in, the bottom port will not be active.

Thanks for your ongoing help. Successfully managed to reinstall firmware on the control. Aircraft persistently not being recognised by DJI Assistant, despite repeated unplugging and plugging in. Do you have any further suggestions? I feel sure that a dodgy firmware in the craft could be the problem.

Try relinking it again with the refreshed controller. It might be enough to get the firmware fixed on the Mavic. I'm almost certain the Mavic has an issue.
