RIP Charlie

This happened in my state, Utah is a devil's playground though many people would never think it. There's plenty of Antifa goons hiding just under the surface of our communities, especially in Salt Lake. Drones would have helped protect Charlie Kirk and could have spotted a suspicious person positioned on a rooftop immediately. I don't understand why they weren't using them either, and I hope this event teaches security teams to use them in the future.

it’s free speech until someone doesn’t like what you say. My grandmother’s favorite saying was “live by the sword, die by the sword”. Charlie was not a fan of mine but he should not have died for his beliefs.
The thing is that anyone can say what they want with free speech.
However, free speech mean you are free from repercussions of what you say.

This isn't a commentary on what happened today. It's clarification of the misunderstanding about free speech.

"I think it’s worth it. I think it’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights.”

said Charlie Kirk in 2023 following a mass killing of three nine‑year‑old children and three adults in Nashville.

I don't condone it. But, apparently, he would be okay with his murder. He's with his god now.

I don't get the hype.
This guy's life was no more or less valuable than any other. If we're not going to make a big deal out of, say, that woman who was murdered on the bus the other day, why would we make a big deal about this guy?

Being forthright, I don't understand fan idolism.

Because we need more polite, thoughtful discussion of our differences. That's what he did. I disagreed with a lot he said, but he always did so with grace. (Note: grace is not always used in a religious context.) He was silenced.
