Found out, exactly, how close one can fly to a construction crane safely.

The battery managed to stay in for the first 50' drop. It was spinning hard and the battery ejected before coming to a thud below. Was about 100' when I smacked it.

Stupid pilot. Cinematic mode, got too close, freaked out and hit the wrong stick.

Already in the box ready to send to DJI. Thankfully I chose to renew refresh last week. Whew.

Sorry to hear of your predicament. Any chance you could post the video from your SD card before you ship it off ?
I'm not trying to add insult to injury, just trying to make a joke... You don't have to get that close to other objects ! Like a construction crane :)
