When we shoot hyperlapse, there's an option saying "safe original hyperlapse". What is it? And what does it do?

Saves the original images so you can create a 4K version instead of only 1080p.

In addition to being able to make your hyperlapse sequences larger resolution, it also allows you to post-process the DNG files for a host of things (exposure, dynamic range, color, contrast, etc.) and have more control over video creation (frame rate, aspect ratio cropping, etc.).

Just beware, it uses up memory pretty aggressively so keep an eye on available space (and have adequate space to begin with).

It saves the original photos. I wouldn’t recommend turning it on unless you plan on editing it on a PC because it takes up a ton of storage. [emoji106][emoji16]

Just a couple more comments in respect to the storage space requirements:

• Yeah, if you have no plans on post-processing, it's a waste of space
• If you are interested in post-processing using the save DNGs, larger storage cards are not very expensive. I use 128GB cards and they didn't cost that much (2 packs at Costco are cheap when on sale), especially compared to the cost of the aircraft.

Indeed. Editing it on a PC would be the only reason to do it, but storage is cheap, so have at it, and give it a go!
