The Salt lakes of the Mallee region in Victoria are an abstract photographer's delight. The salt lake is just a few cm's deep, and the salt crust underfoot is turned pink by algae. Some seasons it can be full of water and other's it's dry but all are sensational to photograph. It's beautiful to drone over when the wind is still. The water get windswept from one end of the lake to the other in mere minutes on occasion, and when the water is high and the salt crust is just forming , any indents in the crust like water runoff will show the red Mallee soil underneath.
Air 2 S + Sony A1 + aerial shots.

Pretty in Pink.

Great video and photography. It is an amazing display of the beauty of nature. The music was well matched. Great transitions. Thank you.

That looked like a milk shake. Did you do something to the video to make it look like that?

oh, the pink colour you mean? As outlined in my description the pink is from an algae - last year was very wet so the lake was full. the colour is exactly as it shows with maybe a little vibrancy lifted but no saturation added for sure.
