Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 10 inch USB connection

I have been having trouble trying to connect my Galaxy Tablet to the bottom USB port on my Mavic Pro, but my Galaxy S7 phone works fine. Should I be able to use a 10 inch tablet through this port?

I use a 10” Galaxy Tab A6 from the bottom USB port.
It works with the Mavic & Mavic2 but not on my Xiaomi Mi 4K, I have to connect using wi fi for that one.

Can you enable USB tethering on the S7 ?
I don't have that option on the A6 and it is required for the Mi 4k but for some reason it works with the Mavic’s automatically but I have no idea why.

I use the tab 2 with the Mavic air on the bottom port BUT I had to buy the Anker short usb cable to get it to work.....
