Ive a 128gb sd card , went out and bought a sd card reader but when i try put it in tv it says cant access do u want to format , do i have to format the sd card in the tv before i view footage ?

If you do it will erase the card. Better to save it on your computer first, copy if you want, and then decide it to a video format your TV understands.
Failing that put it on YouTube and watch you channel on the TV.

Yeah that could be a good idea , what i was saying with a blank sd card could format on tv take photos with the drone then watch back on tv ?
When you put a memory card in the drone ->the prefs will show it and automatically ask you if you want to reformat. After that be sure the recording mode you choose is c/w your TV.
I was assuming earlier that you wanted to preserve the pics/vids you had on the card. I’m sure you understand that reformat erases all the card content. I always travel with 2 or 3 cards.

An Apple TV will stream it to your TV as it does mine after I put it into the iTunes library. Even if you run a different platform, the option should be available to stream from your computer/pad to the TV.
there are many electronic devices that will only accept and be able to deal with SD cards up to a certain GB value.
