My Smart Controller gives me a message that my SD card is too slow for 4K/30fps. I am using a ScanDisk extreme, 128GB, U3, V30, XC1. I don't know what all this stuff means but it apparently isn't what I am needing. Could someone please direct me to the proper card? Do I need 128GB? I am flying either Mavic 2 Pro or Zoom and am cot flying commercially. Thank you for any and all help.

Am wondering what the majority of Smart Controller users are using for SD cards in the controller. I am so confused by all the numbers and don't know which direction to go.

I bought the SD card on Amazon so I suppose it could be counterfeit. No real way to know that for sure, I guess. I bought it because of what the manual recommended. Only difference I saw was he XC had a 1 after it.(XC1)

The thread you sent was for the Mini 3 which I don't have

@Sitka78 there seems to be some confusion in several posts since the Mini3 with the DJI rc came out it is not the same as the Smart controller that is used in other drones ,it is a Mini 3 specific controller with a built in screen

I totally understand that. Thanks.
The Smart controller manual lists these cards:

My Smart Controller gives me a message that my SD card is too slow for 4K/30fps. I am using a ScanDisk extreme, 128GB, U3, V30, XC1. I don't know what all this stuff means but it apparently isn't what I am needing. Could someone please direct me to the proper card? Do I need 128GB? The markings are confusing, but I'll try to explain.
128GB is storage size. - No problem there
U3 is the bus, think of it as a pipe, the larger the pipe the more data you can move. U3 is currently the largest/fastest bus. - Again, no problem.
V30 is the video speed class, V= Video while 30 is Mb/s sequential write speed which is suitable up to 8k. The current fastest video speed class is v90 - 90Mb/s sequential write speed. Possibly the problem, but who knows? It's DJI.

As a side note, some cards have an X marking. Such as X, X1, XC, etc. Those are just marketing ploys, so can be disregarded.

We sell a several hundred products each year with SD cards tested and installed, here are two methods to try to solve the problem.

The 2 "free" methods:
Format the card in the controller, that may work or:

You can go here and get the official SD card formatter from the SD Card association:

This is what we use instead of a PC/Mac and have very little in the way of problems.

The not free method:
Try another card with the markings U3, C10 and a V greater than 30.

It is entirely possible the card is counterfeit, possibly even bad.

We don't know what hardware (SDIO) is used or how the software is written as there are many ways to write the code, some ok while other methods work better but are harder to write. So it is impossible to debug the hardware/software.

Hth, Cheers!

From what I am seeing the card to slow for 4k has nothing to do with the card in your smart controller, that is talking about the card in your drones. The sc does not do 4k and would not tell you anyway on the app just in the settings.
